In only its sixth year of operation, Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest has become the largest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency on the West Coast and the largest one-to-one mentoring program in Oregon.
Serving nearly 3,000 children in Metropolitan Portland and Southwest Washington, Big Brothers Big Sisters has mentoring programs for African American children, Latino children, children in Title I schools, children of incarcerated parents, and children in foster care. Our programs have a positive impact on the lives of children and families we serve by offering a professionally-supported relationship between a caring adult and a child. Big Brothers and Big Sisters are friends, mentors, and positive role models to the children (Littles) with whom they are matched.
